Here is how Panchkula4U handles information about you. We keep it short.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Tips, ratings and votes | To show them on the site | While they are published |
| Server logs | Security and fixing problems | Kept by our host |
Details
Tips, ratings and votes you send are saved and may be published. To count votes fairly we store a scrambled code made from your IP address, never the address itself.
On this site that also means:
- Reviews, questions and noticeboard posts you choose to send, with the contact details you add.
- Ratings, tied to a one-way scrambled version of your IP address so each visitor rates once.
Routine server logs record visits for security and debugging.
We count things like clicks on outbound links, without names or email addresses.
To save you retyping, some forms and calculators remember what you entered, using your browser’s local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Cookies
Browsing needs no account and no cookies from us.
Analytics or advertising services, if switched on, may use cookies to count visits and choose ads. Your browser settings control them.
Noticeboard posts
The phone number or email on a post is shown on that post so people can reply. Posts are removed automatically when they expire, and you can ask us to remove yours sooner.
Your data, your call
Selling your data is not something we do. Your information stays with us and the companies that host the site or send our email, unless a law requires us to hand it over. Questions, corrections or deletion requests: privacy@panchkula4u.com.
This is a general-audience site; we don’t knowingly collect anything from children under 13. When this page changes, the date above changes too. Effective October 17, 2026.
